Most farm tractors adopt axial spring single-plate dry friction clutch, the most popular clutch type for small and medium horsepower Chinese tractors.
The clutch relies on axial clamping force to compress two friction discs and transmit rotary torque from the driving shaft to the driven shaft.

Torque Transfer Formula:
To transmit power from Shaft 1 to Shaft 2, flat discs are pressed together by axial force F. Friction generated between Disc A and Disc B transfers rotary motion from Shaft 1 to Shaft 2.

Flywheel: Fixed with engine crankshaft to store rotational kinetic energy.
Clutch Disc (Clutch Plate): Splined steel hub base with riveted friction lining around outer edge, the key friction transmission component.
Pressure Plate: Compresses clutch disc against flywheel under spring preload to realize power connection.
Axial Compression Springs: Supply consistent clamping force for friction torque transmission.
Clutch Cover: Protect internal clutch components and transfer flywheel rotation to pressure plate.
