Safe Driving Methods For Tractors

1. Avoid poor vehicle condition. Before driving, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection of the tractor. When loading goods, attention should be paid to ensuring that the tire loads on both sides are equal.
2. Avoid starting too aggressively. When starting, you can use semi linkage and lightly press the accelerator to avoid injury caused by starting too aggressively.
3. Avoid observing the road conditions carefully while driving, and do not be careless, especially when the engine noise of tractors and combine harvesters is too loud, which can cause interference to the driver. Be sure to carefully judge the road conditions. If passing through an intersection, slow down and observe to ensure safe passage; If you need to pass through dangerous or suspicious places such as bends, slopes, valleys, and mountain roads, you should stop and check carefully, determine the situation before passing.
4. Avoid driving too fast. When driving, be sure to control the speed, especially when turning or going downhill, the speed must be controlled within the limit of being able to stop at any time; When accelerating or decelerating, the accelerator pedal should be slowly stepped on or released to prevent the driving wheels from slipping or even skidding or drifting due to sudden acceleration or deceleration.
5. Avoid following too closely. Drivers should maintain a safe distance of at least twice the normal driving distance (generally not less than 50 meters) from the preceding vehicle based on terrain, speed, and loading conditions.
6. Avoid turning too fast. When turning, be sure to reduce the speed as much as possible in advance, hold the steering wheel firmly, turn slowly, and turn back slowly. Without affecting the oncoming traffic, try to increase the turning radius as much as possible, and never make quick, sharp turns or sharp turns.
7. Avoid braking too quickly. During driving, it is advisable to use anticipatory braking as much as possible, utilize the engine's restraining effect to slow down, use hand braking and exhaust braking more frequently, use foot braking less, and avoid emergency braking. If the situation is urgent, you can forcefully downshift and use the engine's reactive resistance to restrain the locomotive from moving forward, while intermittently using hand and foot brakes.
