Lawn Mower Troubleshooting

1. Violent vibration
This phenomenon may occur for the following reasons:
(1) The blade is bent or worn and loses dynamic balance;
(2) The crankshaft is bent due to impact;
(3) The knife coupling is damaged, causing the blade and the crankshaft to rotate relative to each other, causing imbalance;
(4) The engine fixing screws are loose;
(5) The engine base is damaged;
(6) The blade hits a harder object.
2. Poor grass collection effect
(1) The grass collection bag has not been cleaned after long-term use, resulting in uncleanness and airtightness, resulting in poor grass collection;
(2) If the grass drain outlet is not cleaned for a long time, the accumulated grass will block the grass drain outlet, causing the grass drain to be blocked;
(3) The blade is excessively worn and the blade wing cannot achieve the grass gathering effect;
(4) Engine wear, excessive power loss, and low blade rotation speed result in poor grass collection effect;
(5) The terrain of the grassland is uneven, resulting in poor grass drainage.
3. The engine is unstable
The throttle is at the maximum position and the air valve is open; the spark plug wire is loose; water and dirt enter the fuel system; the air filter is too dirty; the carburetor is improperly adjusted; the engine fixing screws are loose: the engine crankshaft is bent. Troubleshooting methods: lower the throttle switch: press the outer line of the spark plug firmly; clean the fuel tank and refill the fuel; clean the air filter or replace the filter element; readjust the carburetor; check the engine fixing screws after flameout: correct the crankshaft or replace the new shaft.
4. The engine cannot be stalled
The installation position of the throttle cable on the engine is appropriate; the throttle cable is broken; the throttle movement is not sensitive; the flameout cable cannot come into contact. Troubleshooting methods: Reinstall the throttle cable; replace the throttle cable with a new one; drip a small amount of oil into the active position of the throttle; check or replace the flameout cable. Agricultural machinery is a good helper for agricultural production and making a fortune. Not only must you know how to purchase and maintain it, but it is also very important to operate, use, and maintain the machinery correctly.
5. Unable to start in spring
If it is not properly maintained after winter and cannot be started in spring, the reasons and countermeasures are as follows:
(1) It may be that the oil from the first year has not been drained out in the fuel tank, so check whether the fuel is qualified fresh oil;
(2) Its function is to discharge the pulsed high-voltage electric discharge sent from the high-voltage wire (burner wire), breakdown the air between the two electrodes of the spark plug, and generate an electric spark to ignite the mixed gas in the cylinder. There are many unstable idle speeds, jitters, poor acceleration, insufficient power, frequent idle stalling, and increased oil and gas consumption. This is caused by a damaged spark plug. If the spark plug is dirty, it can be cleaned. If it is seriously damaged, it needs to be replaced with the same type of accessories. If ignition fails, the spark plug electrode gap can be adjusted to 0.6-0.9mm in winter and 0.9-1.0mm in other seasons;
(3) If the fuel in the vaporizer was not burned out before it was stopped last year, the vaporizer should be cleaned (be sure to ask a professional to clean it);
(4) Send it to a professional shop for repair.
The lawnmower engine carburetor.
6. The muffler emits blue smoke
The above failure is caused by the participation of organic oil in combustion. After discovering this fault, first check the engine oil dipstick to see if there is excess engine oil. If it is excessive, drain the excess oil and then run it for ten minutes. If the fault is still not eliminated, the engine needs to be inspected.
7. Inability to mow the grass
Remove the air filter and clean it. If it cannot be cleaned, replace it. Check if the blade is sharp, if it is dull it needs to be sharpened. In addition, whether the lawn has thick leaves, if so, the cutting size should be increased to reduce the load on the engine.
8. The pull rope rebounds when starting
Advancement of ignition timing is the cause of this failure. Usually it's because the blade hit a hard object when mowing, causing the flywheel key to be cut. At this time, the faulty machine should be inspected and repaired.
9. The self-propelled clutch plate is easy to wear
During the use of the hob lawn mower, because the operator does not operate according to the operating regulations, he often controls the self-propelled motion by clicking, which increases the wear of the clutch plate and eventually causes the self-propelled clutch to fail. Therefore, the hob mower will not cut the grass. During the use of the machine, the self-propelled handle must be adjusted into place once and for all.
10. The lawn mower has poor grass discharge.
Reasons: The engine speed is too low, the grass outlet is blocked by grass, the grass humidity is too high, the grass is too long and dense, and the blade is not sharp.
Troubleshooting methods for lawn mowers with poor grass discharge: clear the accumulated grass in the lawn mower, wait for the lawn to dry before mowing, cut in two or three times, cut only 1/3 of the grass length each time, and sharpen the blade. .
11. Overheating damage
The skirt is dry and white or light gray. In severe cases, the surface of the porcelain tube is partially loose and bulging. The electrode was obviously ablated, and there was a circle of ablation at the proximal end of the central electrode, with tumor-like particles adhering to it. Too lean combustible gas, low spark plug calorific value or leakage, premature ignition or overheating of the gasoline engine will all cause overheating and burnout.
12. Carbon deposits and stains
It is recommended to hire professional maintenance personnel to inspect each lawn mower every year before starting mowing for the first time to prepare for a rainy day. The main maintenance items include: cleaning the carburetor, cleaning the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, checking whether the high-voltage line is smooth, whether the gearbox is working normally, etc.
