Winter Tips For Tractors
Nov 18, 2024
After the beginning of winter, the weather is cold and snowflakes have already fallen in many places.
Entering winter, most tractors are idle, especially on rainy and snowy days when the temperature is low and tractor components are prone to aging. Therefore, maintenance and storage of tractors are very important. When storing tractors, the following precautions should be taken:
1. After use, the tractor should be fully maintained once to remove stains from the machinery and ensure that the body is clean and tidy;
2. If the tractor cooling system is equipped with cooling water (except for those equipped with antifreeze), the cooling water should be drained to prevent the body from freezing and cracking;
3. Apply butter or old engine oil to the moving parts and links of the tractor to prevent rusting of the moving parts;
4. Raise the body to reduce pressure on the tires;
5. When the tractor battery is stored for a long time, it should be removed, its surface wiped clean and fully charged, placed in a clean and warm room, and charged every month thereafter;
6. The tractor that has been well maintained should be placed in the warehouse. If there is no warehouse, the tractor should be covered with a rain cloth (or three colored cloth) to prevent damage to the tractor caused by sun exposure, wind, rain, snow, and freezing.
