Precautions For The Use And Maintenance Of Autumn Tractors

Sep 05, 2025

1. Keep the cooling system clean. Before the arrival of autumn, a thorough descaling and cleaning of the cooling system should be carried out to ensure the smooth flow of water pumps and radiator pipes, and to guarantee the normal circulation of cooling water. In addition, weeds and other substances adhering to the surface of the radiator should be promptly removed.
2. Pay attention to the tension of the belt. If the fan belt is too loose, it is easy to slip, causing a decrease in the speed of the fan and water pump, and reducing the heat dissipation effect. If the fan belt is too tight, the bearing load will be too large, which will aggravate wear and increase power consumption. The general requirement is that when pressing with the thumb in the middle of the belt, the sag should be between 10-15mm. If it is too loose or too tight, it should be adjusted in a timely manner.
3. Use the temperature control device correctly. There are two types of temperature control devices: automatic (such as thermostats) and manual (such as insulation curtains and blinds). Some drivers believe that in the hot autumn weather, the lower the water temperature, the better, and often remove the thermostat. Doing so will greatly prolong the engine's warm-up time and accelerate the wear of parts during cold start.
4. Choose oil correctly. In autumn, the temperature is high, and diesel with a higher pour point can be used, while ensuring the correctness of the fuel supply advance angle. In addition, special attention should be paid to preventing oil leakage in the fuel supply system, as oil leakage not only causes waste but may also lead to fires. In addition to diesel, lubricating oil and grease should also be selected according to regulations for autumn use.
5. Pay attention to the maintenance of the battery. In autumn, the moisture in the battery electrolyte is prone to evaporation, so attention should be paid to checking the liquid level. The normal liquid level should be 1-15 millimeters above the electrode plate. The electrolyte density of the battery should be reduced according to regulations. The ventilation hole on the liquid inlet cover should be unblocked. Temporarily unused batteries should be stored in a cool and ventilated place.
6. Prevent fuel air blockage. The higher the fuel temperature, the faster it evaporates, and the easier it is to form air pockets in the fuel circuit. Therefore, in autumn, the fuel filter should be cleaned in a timely manner to keep the oil circuit unobstructed; During driving, a damp cloth can be placed over the fuel pump and regularly watered to keep it moist and reduce the formation of air resistance. Once the fuel system experiences air resistance, the vehicle should be stopped immediately to cool down, and the manual fuel pump should be used to fill the fuel circuit with fuel.
7. Prevent engine explosion. The engine will explode due to overheating, which will increase the wear on the upper part of the cylinder by 3-5 times. Therefore, it is necessary to thoroughly remove the carbon deposits in the combustion chamber, valve sealing strips, etc., and check and adjust the fuel supply amount and time to prevent detonation.
