Knowledge of safe use of agricultural machinery in rainy season

The recent occurrence of sustained heavy rainfall has had a certain impact on the safe use and maintenance of agricultural machinery. Continuous humid and hot weather can easily affect the performance of internal parts of agricultural machinery, especially the engine. Therefore, special attention should be paid when using agricultural machinery during the flood season. Below are some tips on safe use of agricultural machinery during the flood season.
1, Be vigilant when doing homework, do a good job of inspection in advance, and promptly eliminate any faults found. Before starting work, check the sealing condition of the engine hood and the technical condition of the wipers and brakes; Check whether the coolant, lubricating oil, and fuel of the agricultural machinery are appropriate, as well as the sealing condition of the agricultural machinery braking system, to prevent water leakage, oil leakage, and air leakage of the agricultural machinery.
2, Check the degree of tire wear. When encountering rainy weather, the drainage capacity of tires with excessive wear and tear will deteriorate, making them prone to skidding and posing a danger in emergency situations. During the flood season, the roads are slippery and difficult to brake, which can easily lead to accidents. When braking, try to slow down in advance and brake in a timely manner to avoid collisions or rollovers caused by excessive braking.
3, If encountering water accumulation, the first thing to do is to stop and check the depth of the water accumulation. If the water depth exceeds the safe range allowed by the machine, the operation should be stopped to prevent the agricultural machinery from stalling and the engine from entering the water. Do not pass through waterlogged ditches and puddles at high speed, as it can cause splashing water and increase the actual depth of water immersion, which can easily lead to agricultural machinery failure.
4, During the flood season, when the light is dim, it is necessary to turn on the car lights in a timely manner, observe carefully, slow down, be careful to avoid, and if necessary, choose a safe place to park. Do not rush to force work.
5, During the flood season, there is more rainfall and the environment is humid, and agricultural machinery is mostly made of iron and prone to rusting. Therefore, after the homework is completed, the soil and debris attached to the agricultural machinery during field operations should be removed, the iron parts should be cleaned, coated with anti rust paint and stored in a ventilated and dry location, and avoid being placed together with pesticides, fertilizers, and flammable and explosive materials.
6, If the agricultural machinery is affected by water and moisture, it is necessary to disassemble the machinery, inspect, clean, and dry the dirt inside and outside the machinery. After drying, it is necessary to check the insulation resistance value between the rotor winding and the slip ring, as well as whether the brush pressure is normal, and whether the brush and slip ring surfaces are tightly attached before assembly and trial operation can be carried out.
