Introduction to rotary tiller
Nov 02, 2023
A driven soil tillage machine with rotating blade teeth as its working part is also called a rotary tiller. According to the configuration of the rotary tiller shaft, it is divided into two types: horizontal axis type and vertical axis type. Horizontal-axis rotary tillers with the cutter shaft placed horizontally are widely used. The classification has a strong ability to break up the soil. In one operation, the soil can be finely crushed, the soil and fertilizer are evenly mixed, and the ground is flat, meeting the requirements for dry land sowing or paddy field planting. It is conducive to gaining farming time, improving work efficiency, and making full use of the power of the tractor. . However, the coverage ability of stubble and weeds is poor, the plowing depth is shallow (12 to 16 cm for dry plowing; 14 to 18 cm for hydroponic plowing), and the energy consumption is large. Mainly used in rice fields and vegetable fields, and also used in orchard cultivation. Heavy-duty horizontal-axis rotary tillers can plow to a depth of 20 to 25 centimeters and are mostly used to reclaim shrub lands, swamps and grass wastelands.
