Lawn Mower Development History

It has been around since 1805. At that time, lawn mowers were manual and had no power support.
In 1805, the Englishman Plunkett invented the first machine that could harvest grain and cut weeds. A person pushed the machine, and the gear drive drove the rotary cutter to cut the grass. This was the prototype of the lawn mower.
In 1830, British textile engineer Bill Pudding patented the roller lawnmower and received praise.
In 1832, the Ransomus Farm Machinery Company began mass production of drum lawn mowers.
In 1831, the British textile master Cabiria obtained the world's exclusive patent for the lawn rolling machine.
In 1833, the Ransomus Farm Machinery Company began mass production of drum-type lawn mowers. In the 19th century, this lightweight and easy-to-handle drum lawn mower was widely used in green belts beside traffic roads.
In 1902, the British man London Jones built a drum lawn mower powered by an internal combustion engine, and its principle is still used today.
This kind of lawnmower is what we usually see on American rural TV. It can be used to trim the lawn easily.
With the rapid rise of the lawn industry, China began to use power-storage reciprocating lawn mowers in the 21st century. At the end of the 19th century, protecting a lawn was extremely labor-intensive. For example, in a large estate in Blenheim (a village in western Bavaria, Germany), if 200 workers are hired, 50 of them will maintain the lawn. During the season when the grass grows wildly, the grass needs to be mowed about every ten days. Lawn mowers hold very long tools (scythes: the blade is serrated and need to be sharpened frequently with a whetstone to keep it sharp) and line up to cut the grass (actually working more like sawing the grass) ). After the work is completed, the lawn is covered with sawed grass blades, and then the grass blades on the ground are picked up and used to feed the cattle and sheep on the farm, which saves time and reduces damage to the pasture. It consists of parallel four-bar lifting device, frame, left and right single-wing weeding devices, and the entire machine's deflection adjustment device.
